Monday, September 14, 2015. If Mohammad RAAD really accepts that the president is the one that has the majority of Lebanese Christians, so he must accept Christian’s votes to discover who would head the ballot. He said that to impose Michel AOUN, when it seems to me that AOUN has a minority!

Raad says agreement over president seems impossible at absence of consensus on most popular Christian candidate

NNA - Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary bloc MP, Mohammad Raad, asserted on Sunday that agreement on a Lebanese president seems to be impossible at the current stage "if unanimous consensus is not reached over the most popular Christian candidate."
"When things usually get really complicated, societies and countries opt to radically change the ruling political figures by means of crafting a new electoral law which represents the people in a balanced fashion. They opt to bring new political blood to the political life, especially the parliamentary one," the lawmaker said during a commemoration ceremony in Jbaa of South Lebanon.
In his delivered word, Raad stepped up calls on the Lebanese authority to modify its performance and gather power to resolve all the pending issues.
Moreover, he said that all the popular protests that have been recently witnessed in Downtown Beirut were a very normal and spontaneous reaction by the people.
"Politicizing these protests would only lead to disintegration. What might sap all these moves is the interference of political sides that would steer the protests in this or that direction," the MP warned.
Touching on Speaker of the House Nabih Berri's national dialogue initiative, the lawmaker said that two viewpoints were being discussed; one about those who deem the election of a President a priority and those who deem changing the entire political team a priority.
