Friday, January 9, 2015. Ms. Bouthaina SHAABAN acknowledges the strategy of the Baathist regime of Bashar Al Assad to use Lebanon as gunpowder in the use of militias called ‘The Resistance ' in the war plan against Israel. Since the defeat of the Arabs in the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, the regime of Hafez Al Assad had financed, armed and directed the Lebanese and Palestinian militias to be used as a firewall in its conflict with Israel.
This behavior had resulted in the weakening of the Lebanese state and the Lebanese division between them and then the outbreak of civil war.
The words of Bouthaina SHAABAN confirm the threat that continues today on the independence of Lebanon. What she names 'Resistance' is currently the Hezbollah militia that has paralyzed the Lebanese state and removed all powers of the Christian community into politics and socio-economic decisions of the country.
The current government in Lebanon is not legitimate and in addition it is subjected to pressure from Bashar through the weapons of Hezbollah and Nabih BERRI.
The Lebanese citizen has to know this sad reality.

She recognizes that "the war against Israel program was based on the" Resistance "at the time of Hafez Al Assad.
She added that the war strategy is maintained in the same way with Bashar al-Assad.
Politically she stressed that the pan-Arabic ideology to unite the Arabs is a must.
